An invitation to walk to Boggle Hole and dance under the stars as part of the Dark Skies Festival.
Join electronic Dance Artists The Long Dead Stars for the Spotify launch of their debut Album Whitby Mudstone.
Whitby Mudstone is a site-specific electronic dance poetry album inspired by the geology of the North Yorkshire coast and the dark skies above.
The event will involve in a 0.25 mile walk from the car park on Bridge Holm Lane, down to the Boat Shed of the YHA for an indoor silent disco followed by and outdoor beach experience as we dance under dark skies.
The event will also include an artist’s talk before the return walk back up the steep hill to the car park.
Dancing with The Long Dead Stars is Supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
Please note: The walk down the hill on the tarmac road down to Boggle Hole and back is very steep and only accessible on foot. Please look to the YHA Boggle Hole’s Access Statement

Essential Kit List:
This will be an indoor event to dance, but also includes a walk and some time on the beach, therefore please be prepared with:
Good walking boots or shoes
Waterproof clothing
Head Torch (not mobile phone torch)
Warm layers, hat and gloves
Drinking Water
There will be an opportunity to visit the YHA bar during the event.

How to get here
By car: From the A171, take the road signposted to Bogglehole. After 3.5 miles, the car park is on right. The road to the hostel is unsuitable for vehicles. Please park in car park at 6.45pm to be met by The Long Dead Stars. The event will begin at 7pm on the dot, and we can’t return for latecomers.
